The research activities look over the applications in the Industrial Biotechnology field. He is responsible of the Biotechnicum Bicocca Center, a biotechnology facility of Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca, aimed at the development of proprietary industrial strains, fermentation and bioconversion processes for the production of commercially interesting proteins, metabolites and enzymes.
Leader of several projects supported by MIUR, region Lombardia, UE and industries.
