Davide Prosperi, born in Milan in 1972, is associate professor of Biochemistry at the University of Milano-Bicocca. He completed his Master degree in Chemistry in 1998, followed by a PhD in Chemical Sciences in 2002 at the University of Milan. He has been a Researcher at the Institute of Molecular Science and Technology of the CNR in Milan from 2003 to 2008, after which he moved to the University of Milano-Bicocca where he presently leads the NanoBioLab, a laboratory for preclinical research in nanomedicine. His research activity is devoted to biomedical and biophysical applications of nanotechnology. His current scientific projects concern the design, synthesis, functionalization and characterization of colloidal, polymeric and biomimetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications, with particular focus on the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and inflammatory diseases.
