Vincenzo Lettera is the co-founder and CeO of Biopox srl, a biotech company devoted to develop smart, sustainable and marketable bio-based products and processes for industry. His academic and research training (Master degree in Industrial Biotechnologies, PhD in Molecular Biotechnologies) have provided him with a comprehensive and diverse background in a wide variety of scientific disciplines including organic chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology and chemical engineering, biomaterials. These experiences have contributed to his overall desire to become an independent research investigator. During his PhD and postdoc positions he worked on different projects of biological interest involved in different fields, and linked to founded National and European Projects at the University of Naples, Federico II, Italy; Italia Institute of Technology, Naples, Italy; Catholic University of Louvain La Neuve, Belgium and Wetlands Incubators Inc., Belgium. He is currently supervising and coordinating three different projects jointed with cosmetic and leather Companies in Italy. He has published more than 10 papers on international peer-reviewed journals and attended many national and international meetings giving lectures. In 2015 he also attained the International Master in European Project Planning for Horizon 2020.
